I guess this is an oddball result of Spain’s Franco era closed market, like the Dodge 3700.

Definitely reflects the utilitarian box on wheels approach to off road vehicles that had currency in Europe at the time.

Yeah, when I first saw it I was betting it was a Bra zilian market Jeep, they seemed to get all the crazy stuff and we got none.

Spain was similarly protectionist back then, Fortuna cigarettes were created because Franco was pissed off at the market share American brands like Marlboro and Camel were claiming and wanted  to push them out of the country.

Nice catch!  How many rulers did they wear out in the design phase? I so want this!  But with big antennas and  D/F Loop...

It would be a lot easier to get a Pinzgauer or a Volvo 303, looks just like them.
